Terms of Service

These terms govern your access to and use of Sutra. By creating an account or connecting a Salesforce org, you agree to them.

Last updated 2026-05-29

1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Sutra (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these terms.

2. The service

Sutra is a Salesforce DevOps platform. It connects to your Salesforce orgs over OAuth 2.0, retrieves and processes metadata so you can compare and validate changes, executes the deployments and retrieves you initiate, and maintains an append-only audit trail of those actions. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

3. Your account

You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You must provide accurate account information and keep it current.

4. Salesforce connections

When you connect a Salesforce org, you authorize Sutra to access that org via the OAuth tokens you grant, solely to provide the Service. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights and permissions to connect each org and to perform the deployments and retrieves you trigger. You can revoke a connection at any time.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the Service to violate any law or any third party’s rights, including Salesforce’s terms.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service, other tenants’ workspaces, or its underlying infrastructure.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service.
  • Reverse engineer or resell the Service except as permitted by law.

6. Subscriptions & billing

Paid plans are billed in advance on the interval you select and are based on connected release capacity (workspaces and Salesforce orgs). Trials, fees, and renewal terms are described at signup. Unless required by law, fees are non-refundable.

7. Intellectual property

We retain all rights in the Service, including its software, design, and brand. You retain all rights in your data and the metadata processed on your behalf. You grant us only the limited rights needed to operate the Service for you.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind to the maximum extent permitted by law. You are responsible for reviewing diffs and validating changes before you deploy to production orgs.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, neither party will be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, and our aggregate liability is limited to the amounts you paid for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach of these terms. On termination, your right to use the Service ends; data deletion follows our Privacy Policy.

11. Changes & contact

We may update these terms; we will post the revised version here with a new effective date. Questions? Reach us at legal@sutra.dev.
